We specialize in pedal mods and building custom guitar effects from schematics.
(Note: The only mod that can be done to wah pedals with SMT parts is the true bypass. Most of the wah pedals do not have SMT parts. Please email any questions)
Bass Wah Pedal Mod
We take any wah pedal and turn it into a bass wah pedal by changing the .01uf capacitor to a .22uf or greater depending on the tone of the bass. |
Tube Screamer True Bypass Mod
We remove the FET circuit to hotwire the pedal so that it is always on and allow a 3pdt bypass switch to be inserted to stop that 'tone-sucking.' We also insert 1m resistors between the input and output capacitors to stop most of the pop when the pedal is switched on and off. This pedal is one of the worst pedals when it is off. It takes the life right out of the tone of the guitar. This true bypass mod stops this and is truly worth the money. |
Wah 5-Way Sweep-Range Selector Mod
We change the .01uf capacitor to a 5-way rotary switch with 5 different values depending on availability and customer preference. The higher the value, the lower the sweep. |
Wah Bass Mod
We change the value of the 370 or 470 ohm resistor to a 1k trim pot. The lower the value, the bassier the wah. |
Wah LED Mod
We add an LED to your wah pedal so you can tell when it's on or off on stage. Recommended to do in conjunction with the True Bypass mod. |
Wah Metal Can Transistor Mod
We change the original Q1 and Q2 transistors to NTE123A's. These transistors have a very sweet, vintage sound (We know from experience!). |
Wah Red Fasel Inductor Mod
We change the stock inductor to a Red Fasel inductor. This is a re-issue of the famous Fasel inductors found in the vintage Italian Vox wah pedals. |
Wah Smooth-Mids Mod
We change the value of the 1.5k resistor to a 2.2k resistor to smooth out the sweep of the pedal. |
Wah True Bypass
We will take any analog wah pedal and convert it to true bypass to stop that 'tone-sucking' that occurs in all buffered wahs. Recommended to do in conjunction with the Wah LED mod. |
Wah Vocal Mod
We change the value of the 68K resistor to a 100K trim pot so that the wah to woh is adjustable and has a more vocal range. |
Wah Yellow Fasel Inductor Mod
We change the stock inductor to a Yellow Fasel inductor. These inductors really nail the vintage wah sound, and though they are not the classic Red Fasels, they are an amazing addition to the Fasel line, with an entirely different sound than the Red Fasel. |
Woh-Woh Wah
A sweet, vintage sounding wah that has a unique tone. If you are looking for a great sounding wah to help define your 'sound,' this is the wah for you. The Red Fasel Inductor is used but the yellow is also available upon request. |
